Young Writers Association provides opportunities to inspire young developing writers through community connections. It also offers programs to stimulate the joys of reading and writing with an interdisciplinary approach to literacy, building excitement around literature and creative writing in classrooms, camps and intergenerational settings.

What is YWA?
Young Writers Association provides elementary through high school students with interactive literature based experiences and is open to all interested school-aged students. A nonprofit organization, funded through tuition, grants, donations, and fund raising activities, scholarships are available. YWA provides an unhurried place for language play, and in the arts and sciences inspired by that play. Through workshops, publications, camps, and other literature-based explorations, YWA contributes to the cultural literacy of Lane County youth.
