Here comes the night Now is your chance to sleep tight Give yourself time to drift away Then dream comes to set your mind astray You could dream something good of the previous day Or dream about it a different way Maybe the dream will be bad, maybe good Then the dragon comes to do what it would The dragon comes to start a fire He ignites in you great feelings of desire It makes your temperature become higher and higher Yet the dream you see, to reality, is a liar But although doubtful you don’t see the light For me, it is the one I love that I see In the dream it is me she loves as if taunting reality I look at her, she looks at me But in real life her love is not to be I begin to realize the truth, when the dragon starts to soar He comes around another time to breathe fire once more It begins to show you what is true That, when you love her, she doesn’t love you You just want her to love you, but she doesn’t want to Oh boy, why does truth take the creature’s cue The dragons work is done it is time to leave Then you awake with your little brother pulling on your sleeve What the dragon has done has no chance of going away Regardless, you get ready for the day and say “Nothing is different nor the same, yet this is nothing but a normal day” Carlos Aguilar
