InterGenerational Arts Parties
For ages eight years to ancient in years... Inspired by a storytelling performance, create! Talk, write, eat pizza - engage in an evening of playful discovery with someone who is not your age! Our lives are charged with story:
unfurl thoughts, memories and imagination. Bring your favorite adults, the children of your choice, bring yourself.
Goal:
Give families an opportunity to exercise and enjoy creativity together using classic literary themes.
Objectives:
Using a storytelling performance as inspiration, participants use various learning styles to express personal response while exercising specific techniques in creative writing, as well as in one of the following arts disciplines: visual arts, dance, drama or music. Workshops operate in a festive, fun atmosphere to encourage gentle risk-taking.

Room requirements:
two rooms:
one large room, set up for 50 participants to write
one large/empty room for movement (dance or drama)
Equipment needed:
- supply tables--2 long (in writing room)
- tables & chairs, enough for number of participants (in writing room)
- chalk board w/chalk or white board w/pens
Cost: For groups of 25 - 50, $450 and travel (30 cents a mile)
